Setting a Child as Adopted in RootsMagic 10

1. Open RootsMagic

2. Double click on the name of the person you wish to mark as adopted and bring them up in the Edit Person screen.

3. Click on the “Parents’” fact and highlight it in blue.

4. On the right side of the screen click on the drop-down arrow next to Relationship to Father or Relationship to Mother.

5. Select Adopted from the drop-down menu.

6. Click on the “Save” button.
